DCWD awarded with ISO 9001:2015 Certification

Davao City Water District was awarded with ISO 9001:2015 Certification for the Provision of New Water Service Connection in its main office in Matina. Granted by the Certification Body of TUV SUD Asia Pacific TUV SUD Group, the certification registered under TUV100 05 4089 is effective December 10, 2018 until December 9, 2021. The ISO certificate for the New Service Connection (NSC) Application, which is among DCWD's frontline services under the Commercial Services Department, means that a Quality Management System at par with the international standard to attain customer satisfaction has been established. It also affirms DCWD's commitment to meet dynamic customer needs as the water utility expands its service coverage. DCWD's ISO certification process went full swing in June 2018 with the formation of the ISO Core Team headed by Quality Management Representative (QMR) Roberto S. De los Reyes and deputy QMR Engr. Dennis A. Maningo. Then followed a series of capacity building trainings for the implementation of ISO-aligned procedures, internal quality audits, and management reviews that prepared DCWD for the external audits in October and November 2018. On February 11, 2019, DCWD officially received its ISO 9001:2015 certificate. DCWD general manager Engr. Edwin V. Regalado commended the efforts and commitment of the ISO Core Team and its support departments.
