DVR or Davao Vinyl Records is a group formed by Jerry Yap as a page on Facebook in April, 2014. The avid vinyl collector opened the page out of curiosity if there is still an interest in vinyl records and if there are collectors like himself here in Davao City.
Those questions were answered as the number of members grew to 906 today. On this FB page, members are welcome to post their favorite LPs, as well as sell vinyl records, and equipment related to playing records such as amplifiers, speakers, turntables, etc. Their first record fair was held on May 1, 2019 at Zero 82 Restobar, Torres Prime Square. Vinyl records were on sale, as well as some CDs and cassette tapes.
The recent 2nd DVR 4-day Record Fair was held at Abreeza last Aug. 2-5, 2019.

JOY Bituin, born and raised in Davao, living in the USA. A vinyl record collector since the early 80s and owner of JB Records in Los Angeles, California. Her favorite records are Give Me Back My Heart by Robin Wright and Never Mind by Colors.
JECTER Loyola is also a collector and re-seller of classic and modern LP records. The bemustached audiophile likes to spin this Massive Attack Mezanine album.
EVA G. Kimpo, a retired public school teacher at Matina Central Elem School, has been a DVR member since May 11, 2018. A reseller of a wide variety of vinyl records in her own home. Elvis Presley is Eva's favorite since his heydays because of his signature dance and vocal style.
JOHN Bengaura started collecting vinyl 4 years ago. John gets a kick out of listening to this Metallica Black album.
JOEY Narciso, guitarist par excellence, loves this Tears for Fears album. “Everybody wants to rule the world” is just brilliant song, the guitar parts makes my day.”
JERRY YAP, founder of DVR, owner of an auto parts supply shop. Avid music lover, vinyl collector, and analog worshipper. Jerry loves the Police studio album Synchronicity from the 80s.
MANNY Yu is a well-known sound and light system provider here in Davao City. Also, he is an avid collector and re-seller of vintage and newer LPs. He digs the cool jazzy vocal sounds of Diana Krall.
A FORMER banker, Roy joined DVR 3yrs ago. He hosted the 1st & 2nd DVR Christmas party at his mancave. Roy loves this vintage, classical piano theme collection LP.
