Water interruption in Tugbok
DAVAO City Water District has advised a low water pressure to no water on Aug. 20 from 6 a.m. to 12:01 p.m. in some areas served by Tugbok Water Supply System.
Affected are some Catalunan Grande areas (DCWD Catalunan Grande Property, Forest View Village, Hacienda Grande, Monte Maria Phase 2, Monte Maria Subd. Phase II-C, Monte Maria Village, REMASE, Sitio Soriano, Skyline Subd. Phase III, St. Francis Xavier Village, and immediate environs), some Matina Pangi areas (La Vista Monte Subd. Phases 1 and 2 and elevated portions), and some Bangkal areas (Countryside 1 and Mountain View). Elevated portions of La Vista Monte Subd., Countryside 1, and Mountain View may experience extended intermittent water supply during the system recovery period.
DCWD needs to temporarily shut off water supply in the affected areas to give way to the preventive maintenance of Tugbok Reservoir No. 4.
On behalf of the DCWD management, general manager Engr. Edwin Regalado has asked for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the schedule. Water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.
DCWD conducts line flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water
to run for at least two minutes. Do not drink tap water immediately but if needed, boil water beforehand as safety precaution.
The general public may visit DCWD website (www. davao-water.gov.ph) and official Facebook page (www. facebook.com/davaowater) or call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24-hour hotline 235-DCWD (3293) and press “1” on their phone dial for the latest daily water updates.
