Three UMians join China- Philippines Friendship Tour ‘19
THREE students of the University of Mindanao (UM) will join the official Mindanao delegation for the China-Philippines Friendship Tour on Sept. 15–28, 2019.
Gail Martie M. Maceda (Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management), Kevin Rostem M. Digal (Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship), and
Leonilo C. Gonzalez III (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) will be joining the 30 delegates from the Philippines in the two-week tour that aims to promote and strengthen the relations of two nations, according to the UM’s External Relations and International Affairs Office (ERIAO).
The three students were interviewed by the ERIAO and deemed among the best to represent the university in the friendship tour.
They met with Deputy Consul General Tang Duokun and Vice Consul Cao Jianwei last Aug. 30 at the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Juna Subdivision in Barangay Matina Crossing for a briefing on their trip.
Along with the Umians, the Mindanao delegation are also composed of selected students from the University of Southeastern Philippines (USP) and personalities from the government and media.
