P150-K worth of drugs seized, 2 suspects nabbed in buy-bust

Maj. Michael Uyanguren, Sta. Ana Police Station commander, identified the suspects as Jerry Musa,

35, married, unemployed, and a resident of Alim Street, Barangay Alim, Kidapawan City; and Emraida Musa, 34, female, unemployed, also a resident of Alim Street.

Based on the report of Sta. Ana police, the suspects were nabbed at around 4:10 pm in Room # 225, Alta Inn, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City. The operation was launched by the Sta. Ana police and Philippine Drug Enforcemen­t Agency.

Meanwhile, Brig. Gen. Filmore B. Escobal, regional police director, lauded the successful operation of Sta. Ana police Station.

“Your diligence and commitment to duty successful­ly contribute­d to our drug war. Rest assured that we will continue to engage and collaborat­e with other law enforcemen­t agencies for the protection of the people and communitie­s, as well as disable all factors that hinder peace, security, and developmen­t in our region,” Escobal said.

The suspects, who are both under Directorat­e for Intelligen­ce watchlist, are now detained in the Sta. Ana police station. They will face a charge in violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
