UM Makabayan Dance Troupe entry ‘Diadem’ Storms Your Moment talent competition

THE METTLE of UMians was showcased again on the national front as scholars under the UM Makabayan Dance Troupe wowed audiences and judges of the ABS-CBN talent competition Your Moment.

Dubbing their all-girl team for the competition ‘Diadem’, show biz personalities and judges for the show Boy Abunda, Billy Crawford, and Nadine Lustre heaped praises on the meticulously choreographed hip-hop performance of the group, with Abunda commenting that he didn’t “feel it was a contestant [on the show] ... You were doing a show; you were enjoying it.”

The group is composed of Jenelyn Rose Gildore, Julienne Gayle Novela, Anne Cap-atan, Gemica Arianne Matildo, Trishia Anne Francisco, Francis Nice Alfeche, Grace Balaba, Grace Godin, Vanessa Erno, Jaryneth Paclibar, Janine Inting, Apple Mae Tapic, and Michelle

Refuerzo; with their coach Junald Versano and artistic director UM VP for Academic Planning and Services Dr. Pedrito Castillo.

Diadem will be advancing to the Moment of Choice segment of the talent competition.
