P560-K worth of shabu seized in Tagum drug op

OVER P500,000 worth of shabu was confiscated from a 29-year-old drug suspect during a buy-bust in Iguana Lodge Room 15, in Rotary Park, Magugpo Poblacion, Tagum City at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, two minors were rescued during the operation.

Lt. Col. Ronald Lao, the Talomo Police Station commander, identified the suspect as Yasser Sultan Baunto, 29, vendor, a resident of Quirante II, Purok Lapu-Lapu Street, Magugpo Poblacion. Two minors were with them, identified only as Madam, 17, and Fe, 16.

The suspect was arrested after he handed over the contraband, stuffed inside a diaper.

A total of six sachets and two big square sachets, with an estimated weight of 40 grams, were seized from him.

Police said that the seized drugs had an estimated street market value of P560,000. The apprehended suspect will be facing a charge in violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
