Notice of low water on Dec. 12 and 13

DAVAO CITY Water District advises the public of two sets of low water pressure to no water.

-

The first set is from 10 pm of Dec. 12 until 4 am of Dec 13 affecting some areas in Barangay Toril particularly, Bayabas-Toril Road (from Bato Bridge to corner Flying V Gasoline Station), Bayabas-Eden Road (from Flying V Gasoline Station to Marapangi Resettlement Area), and Marapangi Resettlement Area. DCWD needs to temporarily shut-off water supply in the affected areas to give way to the tapping of the reinforced concrete ground reservoir’s newly installed outlet pipeline to DCWD’s existing transmission pipeline in Brgy. Bato, Toril. Once completed, this project will improve water supply from Bago Bridge to Marapangi Resettlement Area. The second set is on Dec. 13 from 8am to 5 pm affecting these Communal areas: Communal Road, Canaan Village, Ilumina Estates Phase 1, Aspen Heights, D’Leonor Inland Resort, Doña Trinidad Village, Green Valley, and immediate environs; Cabantian areas: elevated parts of Deca Homes and Emily Homes, Northcrest Subd., Suraya Homes, Dacudao Village, Forestal Road, Kasilak Village, Celerina Heights, Hidalgo Homes, Amakan Village, Kilometers 10 to 14 Cabantian-Indangan Road, Green Orchard Village 1 and 2, Leonora Garden Heights Subd., Ramon Nena II HOA, RDL Staff House, D’ Achievers Village, Arendain Village, and immediate environs; and Indangan areas: Villa Alevida Subd., Purok San Andreas, Mountain View Village, and immediate environs. DCWD has to temporarily shut off water supply in the affected areas to give way to the disinfection and cleaning of Cabantian Reservoir Nos. 1 and 2 as part of DCWD’s commitment to ensure safe and drinkable water supply. On behalf of the DCWD management, General Manager Edwin V. Regalado asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the schedules. Water supply may be restored earlier if works go smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise. DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. Do not drink tap water immediately but if needed, boil water beforehand as safety precaution. The general public may visit DCWD website (www. davao-water.gov.ph) and official Facebook page (www.facebook. com/davaowater) for the latest water service updates. They may also call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24hour hotline 235-DCWD (3293) and press “4” on their phone dial for the latest daily water updates or contact 0927-798-8966, 0925511-3293, and 0908-441-0653 for any matters pertaining to DCWD services.
