Network in areas hit by storm restored
GLOBE Telecom has restored its network coverage in Tacloban, Kalibo, Leyte and parts of Samar which suffered the brunt of Typhoon Ursula.
The company’s network operations team worked overtime to fulfill its commitment to fire up Globe cell sites in the areas affected by the typhoon to provide residents critical telecommunications services especially during this Yuletide season.
This means all Globe cell sites in Tacloban, Kalibo, Leyte and parts of Samar are now fully restored. Globe is exerting all means possible to immediately restore critical telecommunications services in Boracay today.
Additional teams from Dumaguete and Cebu are expected to arrive in Boracay to assist in the restoration efforts.
Widespread commercial power outages and multiple fiber cuts following strong winds brought about by Typhoon Ursula caused service disruptions in Eastern and Western Samar, Leyte, Capiz, Aklan including Boracay and Roxas yesterday.
