3 arrested in buy-bust ops

THREE drug suspects were arrested in separte buy-bust operations on Sunday.

At around 2 p.m., authorities arrested live-in partners Rommel Perez Reoyan alias “Rommel”, 31, and Ronalyn Salvador Borja alias Rona, 32, both residents of Borja compound,

Purok 3-C, Barangay Ilang, Bunawan District.

Three sachets of shabu were seized from their possession, along with the P500 marked money.

The buy-bust was conducted by the joint elements of the Bunawan Police Station, led by Maj. Noel B. Villahermosa, and the Davao City Police Office Intelligence Branch, led by Lt. Col. Noel Asumen.

Borja was included in the top 10 drug personalities in the city level, while Reoyan was listed in the top 10 drug personalities in the station level. They are now under the custody of the Bunawan station.

V. Elarde, a resident of Block 8, Pag-asa, Buhangin, was arrested in a buy-bust conducted by the Talomo Police Station around 1:30 a.m. in Purok Ibula, Barangay San Antonio, Agdao last Jan. 19.

Three sachets of suspected shabu, buy-bust money, cellphone and P900 cash were recovered from her possession. The total stash had an estimated street value of P5,000.

Maj. Ronald Lao, the station commander, said the suspect was jailed for the same offense and released through plea bargaining in March 2019.
