NorthPort sends Sol Mercado to Phoenix

MANILA, Philippines – Sol Mercado is on the move again.

The veteran guard is headed to the Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters in a trade approved by the PBA on Monday morning.

In exchange, the NorthPort Batang Pier acquired the rights to LA Revilla and Rey Guevarra.

Mercado, the fifth overall pick in the 2008 PBA Rookie Draft, averaged just 4 points and 1.56 rebounds per game in nine games for the Batang Pier.

He arrived at NorthPort just last season, along with Kevin Ferrer and Jervy Cruz, while Ginebra acquired Stanley Pringle. ABS-CBN News
