3 rebels arrested in Zambo Sibugay
MBOANGA CITY -Government troops have arrested three New People’s Army (NPA) rebels in a law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, military officials said Wednesday.
Brig. Gen. Generoso Ponio, Army’s 1st Infantry Division commander, identified the arrested NPA rebels as Amado Quilicot, Darwin Petralba, and Delfin Petralba.
Ponio said the three were arrested during the serving of a search warrant around 5:40 a.m. Monday in Barangay Sandayong, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay.
The suspects yielded two .38-caliber revolvers, a homemade handgun, two fragmentation grenades, and ammunition. They were turned over to the provincial office of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay,
