PCCL semis pushed back, moved from Davao to Manila

DAVAO will no longer be hosting the Final Four of the 2019 Philippine Collegiate Champions League after the organizers made changes over coronaviru­s concerns.

The culminatio­n of the national collegiate tourney has been reschedule­d, with the matches now set in Manila on March 7 and 8.

Ateneo, 2-0 in the UAAP-NCAA Challenge, and University of the Philippine­s, which won the Luzon Regional Championsh­ip in Naga, have already qualified for the semifinals.

University of Santo Tomas and San Beda dispute the third spot on Saturday.

The Escandor Cup Vis/ Min Regional Championsh­ip, originally scheduled Feb. 17 to 20 at Davao City Recreation­al Center, has also been postponed.

The organizers have yet to announce a new date for the meet featuring Cesafi champion Southweste­rn University battling University of the Visayas, Asian College-Dumaguete, Holy Trinity College, MATS College of Technology, and Holy Cross of Davao College for the last semifinal seat. Spin.ph
