Power interrupti­ons in Lanang, downtown

THE DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interrupti­ons on February 23, Sunday, affecting customers in Downtown and Lanang areas.

These service disruption­s will be necessary to facilitate upgrading works at Davao Light Victoria Plaza Substation and relocation of poles along J.P. Laurel Avenue.

The first power interrupti­on will be for one-hour anytime between 2:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. in J.P. Laurel Avenue, from Panasonic Main Office in Bajada to Abreeza Mall, including Lacson Street, Medical School Drive, and nearby areas. Also affected are customers in some parts of Barrio Obrero, from NCCC Victoria Plaza going to N. Torres Street.

Moreover, two 30-minute power interrupti­ons will also be conducted on the same day. This will be from 4:30 a.m. to 5 a.m. and anytime between 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., affecting customers from corner J.P. Laurel Avenue and Mamay Road going to N. Arroyo Street and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenie­nce brought about by this scheduled power interrupti­on. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoratio­n may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidabl­e circumstan­ces.
