Construction worker arrested for P450,000 illegal drugs

AUTHORITIES seized P450,000 worth of shabu from a construction worker in anti-drug operation in Barangay Bago Aplaya, Talomo District on Thursday night.

Major Jason Baria, the commander of Toril Police Station, identified the suspect as Jaime Monredondo AveOPERATIVES nido Jr., 42, single, of Purok 21, Brgy. Bago Aplaya.

Baria said a previously arrested drug pusher linked Avenido in the drug operations in Toril and Talomo districts.

The police then coordinated with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in con

ducting the operation in Bago Aplaya.

During the operation at around 10:30 p.m. Thursday, operatives confiscated from the possession of the suspect five sachets of shabu, weighting around 15 grams with a value of P450,000.

The suspect, now under the police custody, will be facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
