Water interruption in some areas in Tugbok

- PR

THE DAVAO City Water District advises customers of a water service interruption on March 6, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in some areas served by Tugbok Water Supply System.

Specific affected areas are portion of Davao

Bukidnon Road (from Bacanaya Compound to Ulas Public Cemetery) including Bacanaya compound, BRC Village, Keith Williams, Hope Mountain, Maligaya Village, Bacalso compound, and Ulas Public

Cemetery.

The DCWD needs to temporarily shut off the water supply in the affected areas to give way to the tapping of the newly installed pipeline to DCWD’s existing pipeline for the mainline improvement at Samat Street, Maligaya Village in Catalunan Pequeño. Once completed, this project will allow for accommodation of additional service connections.

On behalf of the DCWD management, General Manager Edwin V. Regalado asks for the understanding and cooperation of would-be affected customers and advises them to store enough water prior to the schedule. Water supply may be restored earlier if work goes smoothly or later if unforeseen problems arise.

DCWD conducts flushing after service works are completed. However, once water is restored, customers are advised to open all faucets and allow water to run for at least two minutes. Do not drink tap water immediately but if needed, boil water beforehand as safety precaution.

The general public may visit DCWD website (www. davao-water.gov.ph) and official Facebook page (www. facebook.com/davaowater) for the latest water service updates. They may also call the Central Information Unit / Call Center through the 24-hour hotline 235-DCWD (3293) and press “4” on their phone dial for the latest daily water updates or contact 09277988966, 0925-5113293, and 0908-4410653 for any matters pertaining to DCWD services.
