MARCH 9, 2020—AMA Education System (AMAES),the country’s pioneer in IT Education, today announced its partnership with recording artist and former The Voice Kids finalist Darren Espanto, naming him as their Gabay ng Kabataan Ambassador.

Darren will now be the face of AMAES Senior High School programs, particularly Blended Learning, where students get to experience a balance between face-to-face classes and studying through online modules, giving them more time for family life and other activities.

A recent Senior High School graduate through a homeschooling program, Darren understands the difficulties many students face, especially those who are already working like himself. When the opportunity to partner with AMAES to promote flexible learning options came, he felt it was a perfect fit.

“I really believe so much in education, what it can do for you as a student and throughout life, and the opportunities it will open for you. I hope to inspire those who are about enroll in Senior High School to continue their learning journey with AMAES,” the 18-year old said.

Despite non-stop showbiz commitments since 2014 and chart-topping hits such as his version of the dance hit “Dying Inside” and his own single “Parachute,” Darren pursued his high school diploma. He admits that it took a flexible learning option for him to be able to continue studying while working.

“Juggling work and school is pretty hard, but you have to find a balance between the two. I’m proud to finish Senior High School despite my busy schedule as a working student with the help of a flexible learning system. This is what AMAES is now offering students through Blended Learning,” Darren said.

Aside from the flexibility that AMAES Blended Learning offers Senior High School students, it also gives them the benefits of both classroom education and self-study. Based on Darren’s own experience, self-studying with the right modules can make learning easier and faster.

“Sometimes it will feel like it’s impossible, but as long as you stay focused, and you have that drive, it’s not impossible. And for working students like myself, I really recommend flexible learning options like AMA’s Blended Learning,” he said. “It will really help you continue your education and teach you how to prioritize your responsibilities.”

Darren’s Senior High School story captures what AMAES wants its students to achieve through the Blended Learning program.

“The learning journey does not end within the four walls of a classroom. As a school network, we are always innovating our programs to give students flexibility in finishing their studies,” said Dr. Amable R. Aguiluz V, Founder and Chairman of AMAES who is considered as the father of IT education in the Philippines.

“Our Blended Learning program makes education available and accessible to students of all segments and conditions.”
