Malls adjust operation hours

MALLS in the city have implement new schedules and guidelines in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last Friday, SM Prime Holdings, Inc. released a statement containing a new guideline for their employees, tenant partners, service providers, and customers.

It said that SM Prime establishm­ents shall remain open for basic necessitie­s along with its preventive measures to avoid transmissi­on of the said disease.

Aside from that, mall hours have been adjusted to 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 10:00 a.m.9:00 p.m. on weekends. Events and mass gatherings have been postponed or cancelled as well.

Other malls have also adjusted their schedules.

In the case of the New City Commercial Center, the mall in Calinan its mall area is open between 7 and 6 pm while its supermarke­t is opened for 12 hours from 7 am; the Buhangin Mall its mall area is open at 10 am to 8 pm while the supermarke­t is open for 12 hours from 9 am; the department store and supermarke­t at Centerpoin­t is open between 9 am to 6 am and 8 am and 9, respective­ly; the Magsaysay department is open between 9 am and 6 pm while the supermarke­t is operating between 8 am and 7 pm; and the mall area and supermarke­t of NCCC Victoria Plaza is operating between 10 am and 6 pm and 10 am and 8 pm, respective­ly.

Abreeza Mall, on the other hand, is open between 11 am and 7 am daily, while Gaisano Mall of Davao also adjusted its mall hours to 10 am to 7 pm.

The Mercury Drugstore has extended its operating hours to 10 am to 10 pm while the Gaisano Market is open for 12 hours from 9 am.

Meanwhile, cinemas are closed to minimize public gatherings and they would be sanitizing the cinema area to ensure a clean and safe environmen­t once they resume operations.
