A drive to Diversion Road Lifestyle & Food Market

-

DRIVING through the Bypass Road towards the Diversion Road with blogger and caterer Chiqui Aportadera, we couldn’t hide our curiosity about this newly opened food bazaar we heard of only that afternoon. It was one-ofa-kind, unlike the Roxas Night Market, as there were food stalls all over what looked like a parking lot, but with a variety of eats being sold. The smell of food cooking in the open air filled us, which made us hungry all of a sudden. As we sat at the Klub Safari Resto Inn space, we sere served with the large Barkada Burger, followed by other items sold by neighboring food booths in the park. We met Francois and his partner Leah of Klub Safari who said they started the first Afrika-Filipino Resto in Surigao del Sur. Their cuisine is on the concept of “health is wealth – we become what we eat.” Klub Safari offers freshly-made options, simple, healthy, and delicious. No white rice and sugar, no sodas and soft drinks. Frank says “Our foods are sourced daily from fresh markets and prepared with love and care.”
