Group to hold forum on economy, pandemic

The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. is set to conduct an online forum in partnership with the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines titled “The Mindanao Economy: Pandemic and Beyond” on May 29, Friday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN.

It will be a valuable discussion sharing insights about assessing the growth for Mindanao, the economic outlook amid COVID-19 pandemic and how businesses will perform under the new normal economy in Mindanao.

The online forum will bring together experts in the field like Dr. Cielito Habito, chairman of the Brain Trust Knowledge & Options for Sustainable Development Inc. & Professor of Economics at the Ateneo de Manila University and Dr. Fermin Adriano, special adviser to the Secretary of Agriculture & Member of the Advisory Council of the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI). In addition to that, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President for Mindanao Ma. Teresa Alegrio and Mindanao Development Authority’s Deputy Executive Director Romeo Montenegro will be joining too as reactors. Meanwhile, Davao City Chamber President John Carlo Tria will also share his president’s report during the event.

As noted, the Davao Chamber stated earlier that the organization will be holding its General Membership Meeting online to continue its advocacy to the business community. These online business forums are open to both members and non-members.
