Over 4k jobs available at Labor Day hybrid job fair

FOLLOWING the de-escalation of alert level systems and decreasing cases of COVID-19 cases in Davao Region, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI will proceed with the conduct of 2022 Labor Day Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) Job and Business Fair with the tagline “Jobs 2022: Create, Sustain, Transform” through a hybrid approach on May 1, 2022.

In this hybrid activity, the pre-registrati­on, screening, and job matching stages will be conducted online from April 25-29, 2022, while the final interview stage will be face-to-face, which will take place at NCCC Mall, Buhangin, Davao City, on Labor Day.

The 2022 Labor Day TNK Job and Business Fair, in partnershi­p with the Department of Trade and

Industry (DTI) XI, Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Davao, City Government of Davao, and NCCC Mall, will bring together 49 employers in Davao Region offering a total of 4,710 local and overseas job vacancies as of April 22, 2022.

Simultaneo­usly, the DOLE-Davao del Norte Field Office will also be conducting a TNK Job and Business Fair at NCCC Mall of Tagum, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. Moreover, a pre-Labor Day TNK Job and Business Fair will be held in Panabo City, Davao del Norte on April 29, 2022.

Regional director Randolf C. Pensoy emphasizes the department’s commitment to help and mitigate in the recovery of the labor market from the global health crisis. “The pandemic has redefined our access to employment opportunit­ies. Now that we are set to resume face-toface job fair, along with our partners, we are excited for what’s in store for our jobseekers. This is a clear manifestat­ion that we are recovering as one.”

The Employment Unit encourages jobseekers to regularly visit DOLE XI- Davao Region Facebook page for announceme­nts and advisories on the events. Separate virtual coordinati­on meetings with employers and jobseekers will be held prior to the event.

The Labor Day TNK is in line with the DOLE’s mandate to promote gainful employment opportunit­ies as we navigate through the new normal. This year’s Labor Day theme is “Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa.” (PR/
