Workers organization gets P700-K grant
THE DEPARTMENT of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XI awarded Php770,627.40 in financial support to the Southern Philippines Federation of Labor (SPFL), a recognized labor organization based in Davao City, on Jan. 12 for its canteen and consumer store project.

DOLE XI regional director Atty. Randolf C. Pensoy affirmed the department’s commitment to strategically plan and execute activities that support organizations like DMPTI WO-SPFL in engaging in socio-economic ventures. He also emphasized the provisions of various technical assistance during the implementation of the livelihood project.
WODP Plus represents an expansion of the training component grant of the Workers Organization and Development Program (WODP). Beyond conventional labor relations topics, this program offers services to enhance the capacity of formal economy workers to collectively initiate and manage livelihood ventures.
