BIG DEAL

CHUBBY CHICKEN

The titular "chubby chicken" refers to the puffed-up fried chicken resulting from the special batter developed by Chubby Chicken's head chef. Available in soyglazed or spicy versions, it is served with rice and garlic mayo dip. Perfect for dads who cannot eat without their rice, these are available in 1-piece (P78) or 2-piece (P118) servings.

For dads who are more adventurous, a must-try is the Chicken Tacos. You get strips of battered chicken, diced tomatoes, shredded cabbage, and garlic mayo enveloped in a soft taco shell. Like the signature chicken, it is available in 1-piece (P75) and 2-piece (P115) servings. Chubby Chicken has given the breaded chicken an Italian twist with the Chicken Parmigiana (P165). Dads who love cheese are sure to like this dish with strips of shallow-fried breaded chicken baked with cheese and served with rice.

Chubby Chicken's menu is not limited to chicken. If dad is feeling peckish for beef, the Chubby Sloppy Joe (P150) is a step in the right direction. Savory minced beef, burger patty, and a fried egg with a runny yolk all come together between a toasted bun, and served with a side of fries.

For dessert, the Chubby Twinkie (P115) will hit the right spot with its deep-fried shell and warm gooey center, complemented by some top quality ice cream. This special dessert has developed its own following as it is only available on occasion.

Don't forget to try Chubby Chicken's wide assortment of imported sodas which they rotate periodically.

Chubby Chicken might be a haven for students, but its friendly atmosphere, unpretentious comfort food, and huge servings are sure to leave dads and their families satisfied.

SIZE MATTERS

Have you ever been to a place where you'd virtually have to unhinge your jaw like a python just to take a bite out of your food?

Size Matters is one such place. The grub here is not for the weak or the vegetarian. The place unapologetically serves huge portions of mouth-watering sausage burgers. If your dad has an appetite for meat, then this is the place for him.

Go for The Works Burger (P299), a 1/3-pound sausage patty stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese on an oat bun with generous trimmings of bacon, cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, garlic mushrooms, and bleu cheese or garlic cream cheese. Dad is sure to love the cheese oozing out of the burger at every bite.

In Size Matters, you can have Breakfast in Bed all day, any day! Available in 1/4-pound (P189) and 1/2-pound (P249) servings, the Breakfast in Bed boasts of a breakfast sausage patty, a sunny-side up egg, American cheddar, lettuce, onion, and tomatoes served in a nice English muffin.

Have these gourmet burgers with a side of jalapeño cheese fries (P79) for that heavenly combination of melted cheese and just the right amount of kick from the jalapeño.

If you don't feel like burgers, Size Matters also has Sausage Lasagna (P145), which is layered with incredibly stringy cheese and ground sausage.

To wash the chow down, pair them with any of the imported beers from Size Matters' sizable beer list.

With its generous helpings and insistence on only the best ingredients, Size Matters is one of the best places to go for American-style comfort food.
