What: Starbucks Coffee has always been a big supporter of "going green" and taking part in environmentally sustainable business practices. Their new venture into solar energy proves just that. The new 84-panel solarpowered system can now be seen on the rooftop of the store in St. Charbel Village. On April 23, the Transnational Uyeno Solar Corporation and Rustan Coffee Corporation held a ceremony congratulating the partnership of the two and the new beginnings for Starbucks Coffee. The new setup not only cuts electricity costs by 20 percent; it also sets an example for other businesses, as well as their loyal customers to be environmentally cautious and use environmental-friendly alternatives.
