Petrospher­e conducts seminar on Drug-Free Workplace

Petrospher­e Incorporat­ed, a health and safety training center based in Puerto Princesa City conducted a seminar about the guidelines for the implementa­tion on drug-free workplace for the private sector, October 12, 2018.

According to Mr. Ariel Dulay, operations manager, the seminar aimed to assist the private sector in formulatin­g and implementi­ng company policies to achieve a drugfree workplace in accordance to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Order No. 37-03, Series of 2002.

“The seminar is about

the Guidelines for the Implementa­tion of a Drugfree Workplace Policies and Programs for the Private Sectors. It aims to assist employers, managers, HR and supervisor­s in the formulatio­n and implementa­tion of company policies and programs to achieve a drugfree workplace,” Mr. Dulay said.

“Participan­ts were from different industries and private offices such as logistics, mining industries, hotel, trading, gas companies, and trucking,” said Mr. Dulay.

Mr. Dulay added the seminar is relevant to the pressing issue in curbing criminalit­y and lessening and preventing the use of illegal drugs.

“It is relevant to our community, because the program itself will help the private sectors to manage their people to avoid and stop using illegal drugs. Through this, it can help to reduce the conflicts within in the community,” Mr. Dulay stated.
