Everyone safe from ‘Ursula’ —PDRRMC

There was no recorded casualty in Palawan due to Typhoon “Ursula” (Phanfone), based on the final report of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and

Management Council

(PDRRMC).

According to the final report of PDRRMC, which was obtained by Palawan Daily News (PDN) Thursday, there were no reported death, missing, or injured persons in the recent typhoon.

The report indicated that a total of “2,923 individual­s or 797 families” from Coron, Culion, and Busuanga were transferre­d to evacuation centers, yet returned to their homes safely on December 26, Thursday.

The report also said that there were no recorded damages in houses, roads, and other infrastruc­tures caused by Typhoon “Ursula”.

Different agencies in the province worked hand in hand to observe the preparedne­ss measures and ensure everyone’s safety during the tropical cyclone.

Based on the available informatio­n online, tropical storm “Ursula” has left the Philippine Area of Responsibi­lity (PAR) morning of Saturday, December 28.

Palawan Daily News (PDN) also tried to get the statement of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (PDRRMO) Jerry Alili, but he has not yet replied to our messages.
