Maylene Delliro, Trade and Industry Development Specialist, told Palawan News they have been assisting traders to help improve the quality of their products that will be introduced during the festivities. “Gusto natin natin mas ma-enhance ang product ng ating mga traders, local man ‘ yan kasi ang aim natin ay kung papaano sya ma-highlight ngayong Baragatan,” she said. On Wednesday, the DTI and the Provincial Economic Enterprise Development Office (PEEDO) held a Palawan Marketing Expo Seminar in preparation for the Baragatan Trade Fare. Bueno said some traders and exhibitors will have their own booth to display their products while others will complement the booth of their respective municipalities. She said among the products that will be presented in Baragatan Trade Fair are food products including fruit jam, peanut butter, turmeric, cashew and souvenir items such as handicrafts, key chains, dream catchers and collectibles. Bueno also encouraged local traders to use indigenous and locally sourced materials in order to lower their costs and help other local suppliers. “Tinitingnan natin ang sustainability at kung papaano pa makakatulong sa community. Kung ang raw materials nila ay outside Palawan kahit lumaki ang production niyan hindi gaano ang ating value chain,” she said.
