Calamian power corp donates 8 MRFs to Busuanga

The Calamian Islands Power Corp. (CIPC), Busuanga Island’s sole power provider, recently donated eight Materials Recovery Facilities (MRF) to Coron in support of its sustainabl­e environmen­tal protection initiative­s. The CIC said that with over 52,000 residents living in 23 barangays, Coron is in need of the MRFs in compliance with Republic Act 9003 or the”Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000,” which prescribes proper solid waste management. The CIPC said the provision of the MRFs to Coron under the administra­tion of Mayor Ajerico Barracoso was in coordinati­on with Engr.
