Teen saves friend from croc attack

-

Friendship is like blood among the young. This was evidenced when a male teenager was saved by his friend from a crocodile that had already bitten him over the weekend near the tidal mouth of a river in Barangay Poblacion V, Balabac town. Police Officer 2 Mark Anthony Colili, Balabac Municipal Police Station investigator, said Ronel Sara saw his friend,

16- year old Parsi Hulia Diaz, with his right leg caught in the mouth of an estimated 7-foot crocodile. Sara immediately got a paddle and hit the animal on the head that let go of Diaz’ leg immediately, Colili said. The incident happened on October 20 at around 10:30 a.m. near the mouth of a river where they had decided to swim after Diaz had his haircut by Sara. Colili said Diaz suffered three bite wounds on his right leg and on the lower right part of his buttocks. Diaz was treated in a nearby health center for his bite wounds. Pagpunta nga namin sa area andoon pa ang buwaya,” he said.
