The funding for their construction in Aramaywan, Rizal and Brooke’s Point towns in southern Palawan was a request by Palawan Governor Jose Alvarez to Engr. Saylito Purisima of the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO). Abiong also said the centers are available to anyone who cannot access formal education in schools. ALS is a program of the Department of Education which provides equal rights in education particularly for the less fortunate and out-of-school-youth.
