Malacañang offers new compromise deal on Malampaya

-

Resplendor Padilla Maggay - Why should there be a "compromise deal" when there was an original deal between the national gov't, the oil company, and the province of Palawan represented by then Speaker of the House Ramon Mitra and Governor Salvador Socrates. The current government of Palawan should look into this and assert Palawan's right to its proper share of one half per one centavo earned by the oil wells and gas pipeline. Dpe Goldwings - Malampaya fund share for Palawan was already spent by the corrupt politicians of the province. And these politicians are still being voted by the people in Palawan. The rest for the National gov’t was already spent by GMA. The remaining reserve of Malampaya is less than 7 years. The power plants in Batangas using the natural gas is already converting to another imported fuel because the supply of Malampaya is already low. This is a good offer from the gov’t due to the power shortage in the whole province with no solution from the Napocor.
