Nacion to Capiz police: Don’t dip toes into drugs
ROXAS City – Once again, police in Capiz province were warned against any involvement in illegal drug activities.
Senior Superintendent Samuel Nacion, provincial police director, urged the public to inform him about officers engaged in drug transactions and protection.
Officers visiting the houses of drug personalities as part of the antidrug campaign are also being closely monitored, Nacion disclosed.
“I don’t want any police (officer) to have any involvement in drug transactions,” he said.
Sanctions will be immediately imposed on officers engaged in the illicit trade, Nacion added.
Nacion attended t he “
Serbisyo,” a program that recognized Pagdayaw policesa Tampad stations ngafor their accomplishments, on Monday.
He directed all chiefs of police
to operate under the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office wanted to clear the province of drugs by this month, but this did not materialize after Oplan Double Barrel was
suspended early February, only to be revived early March.
Mambusao, Dao, Dumarao, Dumalag, Cuartero, Sapian, Tapaz, and Jamindan were already declared “drug-cleared,” police records showed. (
