Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo, with the city council’s authorization, will sign a memorandum of agreement with the DICT secretary Atty. Rodolfo Salalima, City Information Officer Dems Rey Demecillo said.

The areas covered by the free internet project are the city hall, Quezon Park and Rizal Boulevard.

The free Wi- Fi will be regulated to a number of slots per access point with 50 megabytes ( MB) to 100 MB of data limit each day.

This is to ensure the speed of the internet connection remains at 256 megabits per second.

Remollo said he will request funding for more access points if necessary. ( PNA)

Meanwhile there was a drop in the number of crimes in the province, Norppo said.

Index crimes dropped to 2,300 from 2,895. Except for rape and homicide, whose cases increased, cases of murder, physical injuries, robbery, theft, carnapping, and cattle rustling went down, said Norppo.
