DEVOTION IN MOTION
Devotees pray before Señor Santo Niño during a stopover at the Santa Barbara Church in Santa Barbara, Iloilo before proceeding to Iloilo City yesterday. The religious icon returned to Iloilo from Cebu City where it changed vestments for the upcoming Dinagyang Festival. The festivity started in 1968 as a purely religious event a year after a replica of the Santo Niño de Cebu was brought from Cebu to Iloilo City. The image was enthusiastically received by devotees who danced on the streets.
