THE pandemic that obliged us to stay inside of our homes are starting to take its toll on our mental wellbeing. In a generation where so many lives were taken because of depression, the younger students are starting to have ideas about giving up and taking their own lives. We have heard many reports about students taking suicide because they cannot handle the pressure that the new normal has given to them. Because the teachers are not by their side while they answer their modules, they are having a hard time.

We as teachers are given the responsibility to check on our students whenever we have time because we know that the students cannot really manage on their own even with the parents help. We also have to understand if there are delays when it comes to passing the modules because their might be difficulties on the student’s environment. We shouldn’t pressure our students, what’s important is that they learn and we have to be by their side to guide them even if it’s just through internet.

And because the modules are answered in home where a lot of tension can be build, the child might develop anxiety because of lack of peace in t heir studying environment. Especially those students that are occupied with other obligations other than school works, there are also students that are lacking parental support and have to go through with studying on their own.
