JORDAN, Guimaras – Active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the island province of Guimaras climbed to 40 as of Feb. 25.
The cases were in the municipalities of Nueva Valencia (24), Jordan (eight), Buenavista (seven), and San Lorenzo (one).
Thirty- nine of these active COVID-19 cases were in the quarantine facilities of their respective towns. The one other case was being

of Feb. 25, Guimaras had the second lowest number of active COVID-19 cases among provinces and highly-urbanized cities. The No. 1 was Antique with only eight active cases.
