WHO ever thought that we get to experience how does it feels like to be in an era where crisis strikes. An era wherein there is an outbreak and the whole world cannot function normally.

Welcome to the year 2020. Last year was so heart- breaking that we want to erase all of our memories. This is especially true in terms of our educational system. Covid-19 outbreak has caused our educational system to shut down momentarily.

However, thanks to the Department of Education, there was an alternative that was designed to continuously provide formal education to all Filipino learners. But despite this, there are still challenges that beset our educational leaders in this time of pandemic. 1. QUALITY EDUCATION School leaders are being questioned if the form of our educational system can provide holistic quality of education to our students. Since teachers cannot monitor their students thoroughly because of social distancing, quality of education might never be the same. 2. PSYCHOSOCIAL LEARNING One of the common impact of learning at home is its effect to both the teachers and the students. School leaders must know how to give good moral support and motivation to them since working and learning at home can be stressful. 3. MONITORING AND EVALUATING

Monitoring how teachers and students interact with each other is a big responsibility for school leaders. They also need to evaluate the students’ progress with an underlying factor of students learning at home.

There are many challenges that can cause distractions when using distance learning as the approach in learning. However, as the head of schools, we must be strong enough to survive all of the challenges.
