Antique under Alert Level 2 until May 15

ANTIQUE – The province of Antique remains under Alert Level 2 from May 1 to May 15, 2022, except for the towns of Tobias Fornier, Anini-y, San Jose, and Sebaste which are under Alert Level 1. This was announced by the

Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases ( IATFMEID) on Friday, April 29, 2022.

A c c o r d i n g t o t h e Department of Health (DOH) in Region 6, 62.19 percent of

Antique’s target population of 498,263 are fully vaccinated.

Negros remains on Alert Level 2 also while Iloilo Province, Iloilo City, Capiz, Aklan, and Bacolod City are under Alert Level 1 from May 1 to May 15.

Based on the amended metrics of the IATF- MIED, here are the criteria for deescalati­ng the alert level of the province, city, or municipali­ty to Alert Level 1.

* At least 70 percent of the target population has been fully vaccinated.

* At least 70 percent of the target senior citizens population has been fully vaccinated.

* The city or town must belong to a region or province with a low-risk (less than 50 percent) total bed utilizatio­n rate.

Under Alert Level 1, which is described by the Department of Health as the new normal, intrazonal, and interzonal travelers are allowed regardless of age and comorbidit­ies.

A l l e s t a b l i s hmen t s , persons, or activities are permitted to operate, work, or be done at full onsite capacity, provided that health standards are observed.

I n- person or “f a c e - to- face” classes for basic education will be subject to the approval of the Office of the President./PN
