Without a question, a child’s education begins at home. Parents are the child’s first teachers, and they also shape his or her character. Better learning is facilitated by a proper combination of school and home education. Parents must be role models for their children and accompany them on their educational path. Most successful kids talk about how their parents encouraged them not only at home but also at school.
Parents play a crucial influence in their children’s education. Encouragement and support for learning at home, as well as participation in their education at school, are all critical. The key is a strong relationship between parents, families, and schools. The parent is a child’s first and most important teacher. Teachers must engage with parents in order to be successful in their delivery of education. According to research, parental participation leads to better schooling, higher grades, advanced learning, and fewer school dropouts.
Parental participation leads to improved behavior and adaptation at school, increased involvement in schoolwork, a better understanding of the importance of education, and a stronger sense of personal competency and efficacy of learning, in addition to academic successes. An extra benefit is the development of greater social skills in youngsters.
As early as possible, parents should become involved in their children’s education. The most successful type of parental involvement is participation in learning activities at home. Parental involvement improves academic performance.
It will also assist the youngsters in being more prepared to study, more focused in their schoolwork, and more active. They learn to be consistent and punctual. They will not skip courses and will be eager to take on tasks and make strategies to attain their goals. The children’s self-esteem will improve, as will their social behavior. Parents can also assist in the development of a variety of cognitive and affective activities.(
