Antique got 945,560 COVID-19 vaccine doses from DOH since 2021

ANTIQUE – This province has so far received from the Department of Health (DOH) 945,560 doses of coronaviru­s disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines since vaccinatio­n started in early 2021.

Here’s the brand breakdown of the doses: * Sinovac – 302,910 * AstraZenec­a – 81,880 * Pfizer – 308,690 * Gamaleya – 4,800 * Janssen – 112,000 (single dose) * Moderna – 135,280 A “situation report” from DOH Region 6 stated that 65.67 percent (or 620,932) of the 945,560 doses had been utilized. It was silent, however, as to the 324,628 doses.

The utilized doses, on the other hand, went for the following: * 275,248 doses – for first dose * 255,369 doses – for second dose

* 33,221 doses – for booster shots * 57,094 doses – single shot As of April 28, here are the vaccinatio­n accomplish­ments in Antique:

* for pediatrics (12 to 17 years old) – 54,058 received first dose; 48,452 fully vaccinated

* for pediatrics (5 to 11 years old) – 13,084 received first dose; 8,044 fully vaccinated

* for adults (18 to 59 years old) – 251,308 received first dose; 225,440 fully vaccinated

* remaining adults population (60 years old and above) – 31,570 received first dose; 30,527 fully vaccinated.

Malacañang announced recently that Antique would remain under COVID-19 Alert Level 2 until May 15 except for the towns of Anini-y, Sebaste and San Jose which were placed under Alert Level 1 due to their low COVID-19 cases and high vaccinatio­n rate.

As of April 28, 62.19 percent of Antique’s target population of 432,452 were vaccinated./
