Final testing, sealing of VCMs on May 7

I LOILO City – Here, t he Commission on Elections (Comelec) has set the final testing and sealing (FTS) of vote-counting machines (VCMs) on May 7.

Atty. Tomas Valera, acting city election officer, said electoral boards will do the testing and sealing simultaneously.

This will be open to the public, he stressed, to ensure transparency.

Comelec has allocated 505 VCMs for Iloilo City.

Valera said Comelec-Iloilo City has also completed distributing the voters’ information sheets so voters would now where is their polling precincts on May 9.

He also said voters may also check Comelec’s precinct finder.

“Better to check now kun ano imo precinct number para sa adlaw sang election madasig ikaw nga makaboto,” said Valera.

I l oilo City has 330,470 registered voters.

Voting hours are from 6 to 7 p.m.

Valera said voters will be required to wear facemask due to the coronavirus pandemic./ PN
