Medialdea to head committee on transition of power

MANILA – The Office of the President has created a committee t hat would oversee t he t ransition of power when Pre s i d e n t Ro d r i g o Dut e r t e s t e p s down from office i n June, Malacañang said Wednesday.

This committee will be headed by Executive Secretary

Salvador Medialdea, acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar said.

“The Office of the President created a transition committee chaired by Secretary Bong Medialdea to prepare and implement the Office of the President’s transition plan,” Andanar said i n a Palace briefing.

Malacañang has yet to bare the members of this transition committee, Andanar said.

Duterte is set to end his term next month as the nation is set to elect his successor next Monday, May 9.
