MANILA – The UniTeam of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte- Carpio is headed to a landslide victory.


In the latest partial and unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsibl­e Voting (PPCRV) a little past 12 a.m. today, the only son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos has garnered 26,313,353 votes with around 81.80 percent of election returns already transmitte­d.

At distant second place is Vice President Leni Robredo with 12,554,852 votes, while at third place is senator and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao with 2,713,597 votes.

Marcos Jr.’ s formidable showing i n yesterday’s elections came 36 years after his father’s corrupt totalitari­an regime was driven out of Malacañang Palace in 1986 by a popular uprising called EDSA People Power Revolution.
