MANILA – The UniTeam of former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City mayor Sara Duterte- Carpio is headed to a landslide victory.

In the latest partial and unofficial tally of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) a little past 12 a.m. today, the only son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos has garnered 26,313,353 votes with around 81.80 percent of election returns already transmitted.

At distant second place is Vice President Leni Robredo with 12,554,852 votes, while at third place is senator and boxing champion Manny Pacquiao with 2,713,597 votes.

Marcos Jr.’ s formidable showing i n yesterday’s elections came 36 years after his father’s corrupt totalitarian regime was driven out of Malacañang Palace in 1986 by a popular uprising called EDSA People Power Revolution.
