Aklan congressmen secure fresh terms

KALIBO, Aklan – Aklan reelectionist congressmen Carlito Marquez of the 1st District and Teodorico Haresco of the 2nd District were comfortably leading rivals last night in yesterday’s elections and were poised to secure fresh three-year terms.

Marquez ( 59,951 votes as of 10: 30 p. m. in the Commission on Elections’ Transparency Server) ran under the Nationalist People’s Coalition ( NPC). His challengers were Rodell Ramos of the National Unity Party (NUP), Harry Sucgang of Aksyon Demokratiko and Rodson Mayor (independent).

Haresco (99,955 votes as of 10:30 p.m. in the Comelec Transparency Server) ran under the Nacionalista Party ( NP). His rivals were independent candidates Vide Mationg-Pamatian and Matt Wacan./
