MAYOR BING IN SHOCK

-

“MYSTERIOUS” and “unbelievable” were the adjectives that Mayor Bing of Bacolod used to describe his election loss to his challenger, former congressman Albee. He finds it hard to believe that he got defeated even in his bailiwick barangays kuno. Here’s the final tally of votes: Bing – 107,447 votes; Albee – 171,893 votes. Bing lost by a huge margin of votes. So what’s his next move? Ayon sa aming bubuwit, Bing would ask his legal team to “study” the results and make recommendations.

In a statement he issued, Bing said, “It will be up to the lawyers to study and look into possible legal remedies so that we can have the vote counting machines rechecked…”

Seriously? Can he have the machines rechecked? By who? And on what valid grounds?

Meanwhile, according to our bubuwit, Mayor-elect Albee is not a bit worried. Tama gid kadako sang iya abanse, making it impossible nga mabaliskad pa ang resulta.

“If they want to file a complaint, it’s their prerogative. During the campaign period, we can already feel the people coming out, showing their support for us. I knew we were on the winning side,” he confidently told reporters. This means the next move is for Bing to make. Will he file an election protest? Some political analysts say while Bing has the right to do so, it would be futile because of the very big margin of votes. Insurmountable na. Worse kuno, basi ma-isyuhan pa si Bing that he is sour-graping. Say mo, Toto Greg? Newks “dies-dies” laughing!
