513 WV fugitives collared in April

ILOILO City – A total of 513 individual­s with warrants of arrest were caught in April across Western Visayas, according to the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).

Of these fugitives, 83 were classified as “most wanted”, said Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas police director.

Here’s the breakdown by area of these arrested “most wanted” persons: * Negros Occidental – 32 * Iloilo Province – 16 * Bacolod City – 12 * Capiz – 10 * Aklan – four * Antique – four * Iloilo City – three Meanwhile, from the 430 “OWPs” (other wanted persons) arrested, Negros Occidental had the highest number of arrests made at 246; Iloilo Province - 60; Bacolod City – 38; Antique - 23; Aklan and Capiz, 15 each; Criminal Investigat­ion and Detection Group – 13; Iloilo City - 12; and Guimaras – eight.

“These accomplish­ments speak of your commitment to cleanse every community of these wanted persons,” Dongbo tells policemen.

He added: “This achievemen­t was made possible because of the strong coordinati­on and collaborat­ion between and among the police and the community.” Dongbo added/
