WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE MEGA BRIDGES PROJECT?

-

WILL THE incoming Marcos administration still pursue the mega bridges project connecting the three Western Visayas islands of Panay, Guimaras and Negros?

President- elect Bongbong lost in Western Visayas in the recent elections. Will his defeat in the region affect the status of the project? Western Visayans hope not. Bongbong was not totally defeated in Region 6. He won one province – Aklan. He got 146,323 votes while Leni had 146,284 votes. Although it was a narrow victory in Aklan, a win is still a win, right?

Also, while Leni won in generally much of Western Visayas, Bongbong won in Bacolod City.

The President-elect also won in the Iloilo towns of Barotac Nuevo, Guimbal, Anilao, Sara, and Estancia, and the component city of Passi City.

Western Visayans hope that President-elect Bongbong will appreciate these humble wins in Region 6 and would push for the realization of the mega bridges project.

After all, he is a good man. And he is not divisive. He is, in fact, calling for unity. Pagkakaisa. He is not vindictive. Do you agree, Toto Jesry? Inday Rowena “dies-dies” laughing!
