Cops recognized for keeping polls peaceful
ILOILO City – For keeping Western Visayas peaceful during last week’s elections, s everal police of f i c e r s were awarded with medals ( Medalya ng Kasanayan) by Police Regional Office 6 ( PRO- 6) director, Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo.
The awarding yesterday took place at the PRO- 6 Grandstand in Camp Delgado.
On election day, May 9, the PRO- 6 was able to tally 24 total crime incidents – lower compared to the election day in the year 2016 and 2019 with 125 and 62, respectively.
Only three incidents were recorded, which were much lesser compared to 12 in May 13, 2019 and 26 in May 9, 2016.
