High five for Yulo in Hanoi SEA Games

MA N I L A – F i l i p i n o gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo wrapped up his campaign in 31st Southeast Asian Games with two more golds and a silver last night at the Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The 22-year-old gymnast ended his Hanoi stint with men’s horizontal bars event gold medal, which he shared with hometown bet Dinh Thanh Phuong after both of them got a score of 13.867.

Earlier in the day, Yulo also ruled the men’s vault with 14.700 while fellow Filipino Juancho Besana claimed the bronze while he settled for silver medal in the parallel bars.

Overall, the Tokyo Olympics campaigner ended up with five golds, three of which came from individual all-around, still rings and floor exercise, and two silver medals, including the team event.

Knights unloaded a 10- 1 finishing run in the final 3:10 to secure the 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series.
