33 Iloilo healthcare facilities offer PhilHealth KonSulta
ILOILO – Ilonggos can now easily access health services such as consultation, laboratory t esting, and diagnostic examination.
As of Jan. 25, 33 healthcare facilities in the province were accredited by the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation ( PhilHealth) to offer i ts KonSulta Package.
Among the services offered by the KonSulta Package are the complete blood count with platelet count, urinalysis, fecalysis, sputum microscopy, fecal occult blood, pap smear, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar, oral glucose tolerance test, electrocardiogram, creatinine, and HbA1c.
Likewise, a total of 21 drugs and medicines shall be made available, such as anti-microbial, anti-asthma, antipyretics, antidyslipidemia, anti- diabetic, and anti - hypertensive medicines, including fluids and electrolytes, anti-thrombotic, and anti-histamines.
Iloilo Provincial Health Office (IPHO) head, Dr. Maria Socorro Colmenares-Quiñon, said the program is under the Universal Healthcare Law, which aims to provide more benefits tor PhilHealth members, especially in outpatient situations.

* Batad Rural Health Unit * Bingawan Rural Health Unit
* Carles Rural Health Unit and Birthing Clinic
* Concepcion Primary Care Facility
* Dingle Rural Health Unit and Birthing Facility
* Igbaras Municipal Health Office
* Lemery Rural Health Unit * Leon Rural Health Unit * Ajuy Rural Health Unit * Oton Rural Health Unit * Lambunao Rural Health Unit
* San Enrique Rural Health Unit
* San Joaquin Rural Health Unit
* Sara Rural Health Unit * Tubungan Rural Health Unit and Birthing Facility
* Dr. Ricardo Y. Ladrido Memorial Hospital in Lambunao
* Governor Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo
* Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan
Colmenares-Quiñon hopes that more healthcare facilities in the province would be accredited so that PhilHealth members no longer need to go to hospitals or private clinics for consultations.
Konsulta accreditation is open to non-hospital facilities such as rural health units, ambulatory surgical clinics, and infirmaries.
All outpatient departments of PhilHealth-accredited Levels 1, 2, and 3 public and private hospitals are also encouraged to be accredited for this purpose.
Interested providers may submit their applications and self-assessment tools to the Local Health Insurance Office near their facility./
